Holy Eucharist

“The Holy Eucharist, commonly referred to as the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion, is the sacrament commanded by Christ as a way for us to remember His life, death, and resurrection until His coming again.” When the bread and the wine – the visible and outward signs – are given, by faith we receive the Body and Blood of Christ – the inward and spiritual grace. Thus, Christ unites us to His one offering of Himself. Through this sacrament, we receive forgiveness of sins. (The Book of Common Prayer, 859)
